How this works
- Your parent's answers are their wishes. Everyone else's are expectations. The two are never averaged, tallied, or voted on.
- You can stop in the middle of anything. Nothing is lost and nobody is nagged.
- Differences are shown as differences. The app never tells you who is right.
- The plan is printable and works when the app does not.
- We never recommend a care setting, and we do not name or rate specific homes.
What the Canadian context changes
- Placement is allocated, not purchased. The meaningful decision is not which home, but which few, in what order, and what you do while you wait.
- Offers arrive with a clock. A bed offer must be answered within hours. It is entirely foreseeable months ahead.
- Accommodation costs are set by government. For publicly funded long-term care the co-payment is identical across homes. There is nothing to shop for on price.
